We keep this straightforward. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use infra.thami.dev, how we use it, and what rights you have.
Who We Are
This Privacy Policy applies to infra.thami.dev, a service operated by Thami.Dev, an individual technology consultancy based in the Republic of Botswana.
We provide managed infrastructure migration and hosting services to startups, agencies, and development teams. When you visit our website, contact us, or purchase a service, we may collect certain information about you. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
Information you give us directly:
- →Name and email address when you submit our contact form
- →Your current hosting platform, number of apps, and approximate monthly bill (entered in the contact form)
- →Any additional details about your stack you voluntarily include in your message
- →Payment information — processed entirely by MoonPay, not stored by us (see Section 5)
Information collected automatically:
- →Basic server logs: IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps — collected by our hosting infrastructure
- →No analytics platform (e.g. Google Analytics) is currently installed on this site
- →No advertising cookies or tracking pixels are used
Information from third parties:
- →MoonPay may share transaction confirmation details with us (transaction ID, amount, currency) so we can confirm payment and begin your migration
- →Formspree (our contact form processor) forwards form submissions to our email — we do not receive or store data on Formspree's servers beyond their stated retention
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:
- →Service delivery — to contact you after payment, gather your stack details, plan and execute your migration
- →Communication — to respond to your enquiries, provide updates on your migration, and send documentation and handover materials
- →Payment confirmation — to verify that a payment was completed before beginning work
- →Service improvement — to understand which platforms clients are migrating from and improve our tooling and documentation
- →Legal compliance — to meet any obligations under Botswana law or other applicable regulations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Legal Basis for Processing
Where applicable (including for users in the EU/EEA under GDPR), we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- →Contract performance — processing your name, email, and stack details is necessary to deliver the service you purchased
- →Legitimate interests — server logs and basic usage data help us secure and maintain the site
- →Consent — by submitting the contact form, you consent to us using that information to respond to your enquiry
- →Legal obligation — we may retain certain records if required by applicable law
Payment Processing & MoonPay
All payments on this site are processed by MoonPay, a third-party payment processor. When you click "Pay with MoonPay", you are redirected to or presented with MoonPay's checkout interface.
- →We never see, receive, or store your card number, bank details, or full crypto wallet address
- →MoonPay collects your payment details and may perform KYC (Know Your Customer) identity verification as required by their compliance obligations
- →MoonPay's own Privacy Policy governs how they handle your payment data — available at moonpay.com/privacy-policy
- →We receive only a transaction confirmation (ID, amount, plan name) to verify that payment was completed
Payments result in cryptocurrency (typically USDC) being sent to our wallet address. Blockchain transactions are public and permanent by nature — the wallet address and transaction amount are visible on-chain.
Data Retention
We retain your information for the following periods:
- →Contact form submissions — retained in email for as long as our business relationship is active, and up to 3 years after the last interaction
- →Migration project files and documentation — retained for up to 2 years after project completion, then securely deleted
- →Payment confirmation records — retained for 7 years for financial record-keeping purposes
- →Server logs — retained for up to 90 days, then automatically purged
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Section 9). Note that we may be required to retain certain records for legal or financial compliance purposes even after a deletion request.
Cookies & Tracking
This website uses no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics by default.
- →No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or equivalent tracking tools are installed
- →No persistent cookies are set by this site itself
- →MoonPay's checkout widget may set its own cookies during the payment flow — governed by MoonPay's cookie policy
- →Formspree may set a session token during form submission — this is functional only and not used for tracking
Because we do not use tracking cookies, no cookie consent banner is currently required. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and add appropriate consent mechanisms.
Data Sharing & Third Parties
We share your data only with the following third parties, and only as necessary:
- →MoonPay — payment processing (see Section 5)
- →Formspree — contact form submission forwarding (formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy)
- →Hosting providers — our website is hosted on infrastructure that processes server logs (e.g. Vercel or a VPS); these providers have their own data processing agreements
- →Legal authorities — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of ourselves or others
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any parties not listed above.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- →Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- →Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- →Deletion — request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
- →Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- →Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- →Restriction — ask us to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hi@thami.dev with the subject line Privacy Request. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.
EU/EEA residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have not handled your data correctly.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. These include:
- →Email communications over encrypted connections (TLS)
- →Access to project data limited to the individual delivering the service
- →No centralised database of customer information — contact details are held in encrypted email only
- →We do not store payment credentials of any kind
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we do our best to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Thami.Dev operates from the Republic of Botswana. If you are accessing this site from the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with data transfer restrictions, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in Botswana.
We rely on your consent (provided by using our services) and on the necessity of the transfer to perform the contract for such cross-border transfers.
